An Interesting Trip

Hi, today I’m writing about an interesting trip of mine.

In March 2020 I traveled to Mexico, to tour the Riviera Maya, we stayed in Playa del Carmen and went on several tours to different places, I went with my 2 sisters and my nephew, to get there we took a flight from Santiago to Panama and from Panama to Cancun, after Cancun we took a transfer to Playa del Carmen. From Playa del Carmen we went to different places, to a park called Xcaret, this park has many attractions, such as an underground river, and different excursions, we lacked time to go all over the park, we managed to swim with fish, See the turtles, sharks, swim in the river, and see some flamingos. In addition to this park we went to Tulum and see the Mayan ruins,  Cobá, Chichen Itza and different cenotes, they explained to us that the Mayans used the cenotes to sacrifice babies, so that a good harvest year would come. It is important to note that we realized that the sea water in Mexico is warmer in the morning than in the afternoon, and secondly that on several days it was very hot, the day we went to Tulum it was 40 degrees and to go to the beach we had to walk a more or less long stretch which, luckily, there were trees, we were there for a week, and the day after our return the airports were going to close due to the pandemic, we had our flight from Panama to Chile canceled for an hour and they reactivated it, the chaos that day at the airport was terrible, there were many Chileans stranded at the Cancun airport, to whom we brought drinks and food, because they had to wait in Cancun for humanitarian flights. Upon arriving in Panama, the planes were landing on the emergency runways, most of the stores were closed and flights were canceled every so often, leaving more passengers unable to return to their countries, and all the planes were leaving with the respective country flag, upon arriving in Chile the airport was full of foreigners in the same condition as the rest, without having answers from the airlines and without knowing what to do. This trip was very entertaining, but at the same time very chaotic since we were not sure of being able to return to Chile.
